The Challenge of Managing Data

The Challenge of Managing Data

EDI
Automated Data Mapping and Integration The challenge of managing data in a growing organisation is how to minimise silos and how to ensure that data remains consistent, uniform and updated, wherever necessary, and as quickly as possible throughout the multitude of systems that are deployed.  The answer to the challenge of managing data is data integration.  Taking data from multiple systems, moving it as quickly as technologically feasible between systems and ensuring that it's done correctly and consistently is the promise of data integration. The Future Of EDI In 2022

EDI
When I got into EDI integration back in 1997, the technology had been around since the 70's! At the time of learning the ropes with all aspects of electronic data integration, how it was being used in business, and I mean, all sorts of business sectors were (and still are) using EDI for transacting critical business information from one system to another, it was classed as a stable way of communicating information via defined standards. Sterling Integrator Client Components – What Are They?

EDI
Having worked in EDI for over 18 years, you get to see the same architecture over and over.  One particular architecture I have become very familiar with is the Sterling Integrator client components. Protocols such as FTP, SFTP, HTTP, C:D are all divided into suite adapters that can be used to create a client that then connects to the trading partner and transfer the document, enforcing any security specifications from the business process.
